For Ria Atayde, her relationship with Zanjoe is very “happy and relaxed.”
While actress Ria Atayde intends to keep her love life lowkey, she admits to considering Zanjoe Marudo as “the one” for her.
During the media conference for their upcoming show “Cattleya Killer” on Thursday, June 1, 2023, Ria was candid enough to share her “requirements” before entering into a relationship.
“I feel like you don’t enter into a relationship unless you feel like there’s a chance they should be the one,” she says.
Before their admission and even after, Ria and Zanjoe have always kept their relationship private.
Without divulging too many details, Ria says she is blessed to have an understanding boyfriend. In fact, she says she never had to explain herself to the “Dirty Linen” star.
“Happy and relaxed,” Ria says when asked to describe her relationship with the Kapamilya actor.
The couple who have been together on several trips recently, among them Japan and Bangkok, for Ria’s birthday, are enjoying each other’s company.
“Love life is meant to be something that makes you happy and I’m so glad that’s exactly what it is,” Ria adds.
Ria Atayde on balancing love and career
Aside from having a happy love life, Ria is also on a roll in her career this year after being tapped to be a calendar girl of a liquor brand which became her platform to push for body positivity.
She also stars in the crime-thriller series “Cattleya Killer” with her brother Arjo Atayde and has begun filming her upcoming series “Nag-aapoy na Damdamin.”
Asked how she maintains her relationship with Zanjoe despite their busy schedule, Ria shares that they make it a point to squeeze in quality time in between work.
Among the things that they enjoy doing together are watching movies or series, eating together, or playing sports such as tennis.
It was in an “ANC Headstart” interview in January when Zanjoe confirmed that he and Ria are already a couple.
Prior to that, Ria’s mom Sylvia Sanchez was quoted in October 2022 saying that the hunky actor was courting her daughter.
Aside from co-starring in the 2017 series “My Dear Heart,” Zanjoe and Ria have been frequently spotted in the same showbiz circles.
In August 2022, photos of them together in New York circulated on social media, spurring speculation about their status.
