The company aims to set a “new standard for Filipino artists”
Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin of SB19 have taken a significant career step by launching their own company, 1Z Entertainment. This move comes months after the group declared their transition to becoming self-managed artists.
The announcement was made during a YouTube live session on Sunday, October 1. Of this, SB19’s leader, Pablo, will assume the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) role. The live stream also unveiled 1Z Entertainment’s “identity and logo,” aiming to set a “new standard of Filipino artists.”
Pablo expressed his excitement about this venture, stating, “Sobrang excited ako kasi pinaka-pride namin itong 1Z Entertainment.” He emphasized that the company was built by the members of SB19, along with their dedicated team behind the scenes.
In 1Z Entertainment’s Instagram post, it stated that its mission is to challenge industry norms while promoting Filipino music, talent, and culture.
Pablo emphasized their hands-on approach to their work and unwavering commitment to their vision. “We’re just so focused on our goal, on the vision that we want to achieve that’s why we couldn’t just blindly follow the things that we were told to do… Tinake namin ang wheel,” he stated.
The company’s motto is to create a “brighter future” for the next generation of artists, performers, and creatives. They consider 1Z Entertainment a sanctuary where they can hone their talents and develop their individualities.
SB19 had before discussed their plans for self-management during their “Pagtatag” media launch on June 10. Josh mentioned that 1Z is built for the “P-pop and OPM industry.”
Earlier this year, SB19 confirmed their status as self-managed artists after being under ShowBT Philippines.
