Albie Casiño apologized for his body-shaming comment about ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann. The recently evicted Pinoy Big Brother Season 10 housemate said in an episode of Toni Talks that he regrets calling her “super fat” and shared what he learned inside Big Brother’s house.
Body Shaming on a Livestream
In a Kumu Livestream on October 26, the actor said Andi never apologized to him for involving him in her pregnancy in 2011. During the live stream, he told viewers he was pleased to see that she gained a lot of weight and that she’s now “super fat.” The comment stems from grievances in the past, and he considered retaliating against Andi for everything she and her family has done to him.
An Apology to Everybody Offended
Albie admits he didn’t expect his statement would get much attention and realizes how unkind his words were. “First of all, I really didn’t think it would pick up that much traction. I really didn’t honestly think that it would spread like wildfire, what I said,” he confessed.
He addresses the issue despite being advised by his manager to be mum about it. “I know now that I was wrong to say that. I want to apologize to everybody who was offended by what I had to say. I was in the spur of the moment. I was trying to say something – to be completely honest, I wanted to say something that would make her feel bad,” he told Toni.
What he learned inside the PBB House
After his short stint in the PBB House, Albie shared that he learned a lot about himself. “I may have no filter, and I’m outspoken, but that doesn’t mean I can say whatever I want. I still have to be careful with what I have to say,” said the 28-year-old.
Albie also disclosed in the interview that he decided to become a housemate to improve the public’s view of him and is grateful for the love and support he received. Moving forward, he wants to “spread positivity” and use his platform sensibly.
