Another celebrity couple has tied the knot! Rocco Nacino married his fiancée, Melissa Gohing, aboard a ship on January 21, 2021. Despite the weather forecast of a 90% chance of rain on their wedding day, the ceremony pushed through. They were blessed with good weather and everything fell into place.

The bride described walking down the aisle towards Rocco as a moment she has always prayed for: “The walk I’ve been waiting for my whole life… In God’s perfect time.”
Military-civil wedding
Wondering about what Rocco wore to the wedding? He wore a uniform because he is a Philippine Navy Reservist! On Instagram, the groom shared a closer look at his outfit, saying: “Sailor aboard! The Alpha White Dress B is the uniform of the Enlisted Personnel in the force for galas and special occasions.”
Rocco officially became a Navy reservist in October 2019, fulfilling one of his childhood dreams. He said, “I can attest to every boy’s dream to be a soldier. This is being one of it.”
The couple’s military-civil wedding was held at South Harbor’s Pier 13 in Manila.
They also weren’t on just any regular ship, but a naval one–the BRP Davao del Sur (LD-602), as indicated on the couple’s Instagram posts.
Celebrity couple
Rocco is known for being part of the fifth season of the reality talent competition show “StarStruck,” as well as for playing the role of Technical Sergeant Diego Ramos in the Philippine adaption of “Descendants of the Sun.”
Meanwhile, Melissa is a professional volleyball player and an award-winning libero. She won four championships as a player for the De La Salle University Lady Spikers!
She also represented the Philippines in the 2018 Asian Women’s Volleyball Cup along with other volleyball players such as Alyssa Valdez, Jia Morado, and Mika Reyes.
The couple got engaged on November 20, 2020, after Rocco proposed to Melissa in a field of flowers.
