Vlogger and cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao has confirmed that she and travel vlogger Wil Dasovich have called it quits after almost four years.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Alodia broke the news that they aren’t together anymore, albeit deciding not to name-drop Wil. Although she didn’t elaborate on why they split, Alodia clarified that “some things are not meant to be,” and instead pleaded to her followers to respect their privacy.
“To those asking, wala na kami. It’s been a while. We tried to work things out many times but some things are not meant to be. I hope you respect our privacy during this time in our lives,” the cosplayer said.
A day later, Alodia expounded a bit further. During a live stream of a “League of Legends: Wild Rift” session via Facebook on Monday, the gamer said some differences in their relationship were irreconcilable and admitted that she felt regret over what could have been.
The decision was because we’re not compatible, I guess,” Alodia said on camera. “To be honest, ‘di naman perfect relationship namin. It just looks like it. Behind the scenes, it’s different, I guess.”
“’Yung sentiment ko lang is ‘sayang.’ That’s all. Again, things happen for a reason. I trust that gut feeling na may better plan for the both of us. ‘Yon lang naiisip ko,” she added.
Alodia’s confirmation came after break-up rumors made the rounds online. These speculated that the two have split since Alodia unfollowed the vlogger and removed their mutual photos on her Instagram account. Wil, on the other hand, still has their photos up. He has yet to comment on the matter.
The two were first romantically linked in 2017 when Alodia paid Wil a visit in San Francisco where he received his chemotherapy treatments, with mutual friend Nico Bolzico fanning the flames. The two finally confirmed their relationship in February 2018, days after Wil confirmed that he’s cancer-free.
