Last June 8, Angel Locsin let the internet know that she was getting back on her fitness journey. There were mixed reactions towards this news because she was going to undertake an 800-calorie diet to lose weight. It’s been two weeks since she posted about her meal plan and she happily shared her progress on her Instagram stories.
800-Calorie Meal Plan
Angel has been showing her followers some of her meals the last two weeks, mostly containing protein and green vegetables. This drew mixed reactions from netizens, some alarmed with how little portions were, others being supportive of her decision.
The real-life Darna’s friend and fitness enthusiast Bubbles Paraiso is proud of her for learning how to eat her veggies. Bubbles recounted how Angel used to always put anything green onto her plate. “So proud of you wifey!!” she captions in her stories.
Progress After Two-Weeks
After two weeks of following a strict diet, Angel is happy to report her progress. “So, I had my #InBody today after two weeks and happy to hear that aside from losing weight, I lost visceral fats, too!” Adding an explanation to what visceral fats are, “It’s the fat around the organs that can actively increase the risk of serious health problems!” She did not disclose any numbers but it looks like she’s right on track.
InBody tests examine the composition of the body based on fat, muscle distribution, minerals, water weight. It provides a more accurate description of your weight and gives you a better idea of your overall health. Having these tests done every few months is ideal.
All eyes are on Angel Locsin as she continues with her weight loss journey. It might take a while before we see the results, but we’re glad to see she’s working with a nutritionist and prioritizing health.
