Angelina Jolie is a beloved multi-hyphenated woman, taking on roles as an actress, a human rights advocate, and a director. She’s also done a superb job with raising her children to be global citizens; You can tell just how much she adores them in her interview for an editorial in the March 2021 issue of British Vogue, where she is the cover of. And in a quick video segment on their channel titled In the Bag, she shows the things she can’t leave without.
The “Mom Bag”
As a busy mom of 6 to Maddox (19), Pax (17), Zahara (16), Shiloh (14), and twins Vivienne and Knox (12), she always has a “big mom bag” to carry all their snacks, phones, books, or t-shirts. Other moms out there can surely relate. But in this instance, she brought out a classy black tote that could only hold so much. Despite being filled with personal items, there’s still proof of her motherhood as she shows the medication for allergy and headaches for her kids and a random pen and pencil.
Remaining composed, she rummages through the rest of the things inside her bag. “My sunglasses, a face oil from Guerlain, chocolate for mom — small pleasures in life,” says Jolie while she models her new (unscratched) and reflective pair of aviators. A mask and wallet are essentials she also has stashed. Fancy face oil aside, everything else seems like something you would regularly find in a woman’s bag.
When Editor in Chief of British Vogue, Edward Enninful, remarked about the phenomenon’s fashion choices, her practical answer was, “I invest in quality pieces, and then just wear them to death.” She tries to be a thoughtful consumer by sticking to her staples instead of changing things often and appreciating vintage pieces. Another thing to add to the list of things to admire her for.
