After Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian shared a kiss on a Saturday Night Live sketch, rumors have been flying about the two getting to know each other better. While insiders report that the two are just friends, it would be no surprise that the reality star is intrigued by the comedian.
Caught Holding Hands
Dating rumors were fueled when the two were spotted at Knott’s Berry Farm during the Halloween weekend. Pete and Kim were caught holding hands on a roller coaster and were riding various attractions together. It could have been a double date since newly engaged couple Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker were also present.
Not an Unlikely Bond
Their bond is not as unlikely as people think. That kiss from their Aladdin-inspired sketch from SNL might have caused sparks, but they also have mutual friends. Plus, Pete and Kim are no strangers to each other. They’ve already met in 2018 at Kanye West’s listening party, where Davidson attended with ex-fiancée Ariana Grande. He then had dinner with KimYe at NOBU and described the couple as “very, very sweet people.”
Everything is Casual
According to PEOPLE’s sources, the relationship is completely platonic. “They hang in the same circles, so they will be together from time to time,” an insider said. “It’s just friends hanging out.” Another source told E! News, “Kim isn’t looking to date anyone right now. She’s loving this time in her life and is having a lot of fun. There is no pressure between them.”
This week, Pete and Kim met up for two nights in a row. They arrived separately at Zero Bond in New York City to have dinner with other friends. Before that, they had a private meal at Campania in Staten Island on Tuesday night.
As to why the beauty mogul was in New York in the first place was to attend The Wall Street Journal Magazine’s 2021 Innovator Awards.
