Ariana Grande may have tied the knot with Dalton Gomez just recently, but the 27-year-old singer already had her wedding dress in mind a few years ago.
In an intimate wedding ceremony held at Ariana’s home in Montecito, California, the bride wore a beautiful custom-made Vera Wang wedding dress. According to Vogue, “At the Met Gala a few years ago, Ariana and Vera had made a very important pact: On fashion’s biggest night, Vera promised that when the time came, she would create Ariana’s wedding-day look.” This promise led to the creation of the lily-white empire waist wedding gown worn by Ariana on her special day on May 15, 2021.
Ariana’s silk charmeuse wedding dress was paired with a handmade, shoulder-length tulle veil with a satin bow on top. Vera Wang called Ariana “a truly magical muse,” in a post congratulating the newlywed couple.
Instead of her signature high ponytail, Ariana opted to wear her hair half-up with soft curls styled by Josh Liu. Meanwhile, her makeup done by Ash K Holm features nude matte lips and winged eyeliner.
The bride’s overall wedding look was styled by Mimi Cuttrell and took inspiration from one of Ariana’s favorite Hollywood figures, Audrey Hepburn. Audrey’s character Jo Stockton in the 1957 romantic-comedy film “Funny Face” also matched her wedding dress with a veil featuring a sweet bow detail.
Ariana and Dalton’s wedding was attended by fewer than 20 people, comprising just of the couple’s closest friends and family. Ariana’s parents, Joan Grande and Ed Butera, walked her down the aisle together. According to Vogue, this was “a personal high point and one of the most special moments for the bride.”
The house also looked magnificent with white candles spread on the floor and flowers hanging from the ceiling. The dinner tables for the reception looked elegant with lots of greenery, white flowers, and light brown details.
