Britney is free, which means she’s not mincing her words any longer.
Britney Spears has finally gotten her freedom from her conservatorship, and the first item on her agenda is to hold the people around her accountable for their actions — even if it includes her friends.

On Friday evening, Spears took to her Instagram Stories to air her displeasure over a video of Christina Aguilera, who refused to respond to a question about Spears’ during a recent red carpet appearance.
Aguilera appeared at Thursday’s Latin Grammy Awards, during which she was asked by a reporter on the red carpet if she has been in touch with Spears following the termination of the latter’s 13-year conservatorship. Before coming up with an answer, Aguilera’s publicist interrupts and pulls her away from the inquiry, saying: ”No, we’re not doing that tonight. I’m sorry.”
Aguilera awkwardly frowns and tells the reporters that she can’t answer the question before leaving behind the press line while saying: “But I’m happy for her.”
The Princess of Pop posted the video of Aguilera along with the comment: “I love and adore everyone who supported me… but refusing to speak when you know the truth, is equivalent to a lie! 13 years being in a corrupt abusive system yet why is it such a hard topic for people to talk about? I’m the one who went through it! All the supporters who spoke up and supported me, thank you… yes I do matter!”
In the same series of Instagram Stories, Spears thanked Lady Gaga for her lengthy answer when asked about Spears’ freshly terminated conservatorship.
“Thank you Lady Gaga for genuinely taking your time to say something so kind,” she wrote. “You made me cry! Love you.”
Last June, Aguilera voiced her support for Spears — with whom she rose to fame as child stars on Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club and later as pop stars during the 90s — following the latter’s scathing testimony about the abuse she claims she went through during her conservatorship.
“These past few days I’ve been thinking about Britney and everything she is going through…It is unacceptable that any woman, or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live as they wish,” Aguilera wrote along with a childhood photo with Spears.
