True to her newly earned moniker ‘Bruha slayer,’ Korina Sanchez did not back down from mean comments about her on social media.
The Rated Korina host had a chat with comedian Vice Ganda on his online show “Gabing Gabi na Vice” and they talked about her love life, her new life as a doting mother to her and husband Mar Roxas’ twins Pepe and Pilar, to her feistiness online.
The It’s Showtime host lauded Sanchez for being unbothered even though bashers send her daily harsh comments online.
Ang bongga talaga kaya no’n, nakakaaliw,” he said, sharing that he could not do the same after his management advised him to be more tamed on social media.
The comedian challenged the seasoned TV host to read and respond to the comments with her memorable line, “Please leave, bruha ka” at the end of her answers.
One netizen told Sanchez, “Hi gurang @korina, ganda ng bulaklak mo ah, bagay sa amoy lupang gaya mo.”
Sanchez laughed and replied, “Aba, eh ‘di all I can say is, I’m happily and beautifully and fabulously over fifty.
Vice then read another comment that said: “’Mukha kang bading, mas maganda pa yung bading na naritoke ang mukha.’”
“Aba, kung magsabi kang salitang bading, parang bad word. Excuse me, kung hindi ka duwag at kalahati, humarap ka at pumagitna ka sa sampung bading at sabihin mo ‘yan para malapa ka nang buhay,” Sanchez said, who is a proud ally of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Another netizen blasted Sanchez for using filters and wrote, “Filter/Edit pa more. Super fane na masyado kang makintab nakakasilaw! Sobrang kintab mo pati sarili mo nasilaw. #JustSaying.”
“Well, you know, whoever invented filters for Instagram or Facebook, I salute you. Dapat bigyan ng award kasi lahat tayo magaganda. But I hate to disappoint you, but I wake up looking like this,” she said while zooming in her face on the camera.
So please leave, bruha ka!” she added.
