Wedding bells are ringing for Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez! The longtime couple tied the knot last Saturday, October 23.
Photos posted by wedding photographer Pat Dy showed off Abellana’s stunning, classic white Monique Lhuillier gown. Rodriguez also looked sharp in a black suit by popular fashion designer, Francis Libiran.
A handful of celebs were seen at the nuptials held in San Juan, Batangas, namely Vicki Belo, Hayden Kho Jr., Iya Villania, and Janice de Belen. Rodriguez’s The World Between Us co-stars, Jericho Arceo, Donn Boco, Kelley Day, Erin Ocampo, Alyana Asistio, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith were also present.
Other Kapuso celebs at the event included Rocco Nacino and wife Melissa Gohing, Christian Bautista and wife Kat Ramnani, Ina Feleo and husband Giacomo Gervasutti, and Valeen Montenegro and boyfriend Riel Manuel.
The pair first announced their engagement in March 2021, but also revealed that the actor had popped the question back in October 2020. Rodriguez shared his thoughts about the moment on Instagram.
“My deepest gratitude to everyone who [has] been sending their love and well-wishes our way,” he started, going on to name the various people who helped him with the proposal. He, of course, gave special thanks to his new fiancé. “Thank you @carlaangeline, for saying YES! Not a day goes by that I don’t manage to find a new aspect of Venus in you…but in that moment, as I got lost in your eyes…I knew words haven’t been invented yet to describe what I was seeing.”
Abellana also took to Instagram to give a sweet one-liner on the engagement. “A million times, YES,” she captioned a photo of herself with Rodriguez, with special focus on her engagement ring.
The couple were first romantically linked after their 2014 GMA series My Destiny, their second TV project together. They reprised their loveteam in the film So It’s You before announcing their official relationship later that year.
