For some of us, meeting a famous person is already something memorable in itself. But there are lucky ones out there who actually got the chance to meet and do something fun with their favorite celebrities. Take JC Santos for example, who not only met Daniel Radcliffe–he also went grocery shopping with him!
During a recent episode of “All Out” on Monster RX 93.1, JC was asked by hosts Rico Robles and Karla Aguas about the most famous person he’s met. JC then shared the fun encounter he had with Daniel Radcliffe eight years ago.
“I was studying in Circle in the Square in New York, 50th [Street and] Broadway. I remember this was [in] 2013… I was texting [on] the sidewalk,” he said.
“And then nakarinig ako ng British accent. Sabi niya, ‘Hello there. Do you know where Duane Reade (a pharmacy and convenience store) is?’ Noong narinig ko, sabi ko, ‘Kakaiba naman ‘to.’ Tapos tinuro ko, ‘Oh Duane Reade’s just there,’ habang nakatingin pa ako sa cellphone ko. Tapos pagkatingin ko, as in sa loob ng utak ko, may sumigaw na, ‘Si Harry Potter!’”
JC eventually volunteered to take Daniel to the store and even joined him in doing his errand.
“‘Di ako makapagsalita! Sabi ko talaga, ‘Do you want me to take you there?’ As in naglakad kami ni [Daniel Radcliffe], hinatid ko siya sa Duane Reade, at sinamahan ko siyang mag-grocery [shopping],” he continued.
