After the whole social media was stirred by rumors that action star Robin Padilla had gotten sexy star-turned-government official Mocha Uson pregnant, TV host Mariel Rodriguez came to her husband’s aid with a determined plea posted on her Instagram.
“So many people are sending me messages… ‘checking’ on me. People are tagging me bla bla bla… let me tell you this. ROBIN’S BROTHER PASSED AWAY. He is grieving. He has never been in so much pain all his life.”
“He doesn’t need your baseless gossip. Namatayan ng kapatid yung asawa ko. Please lang po. He doesn’t even know anything about all this rumor but I am putting a stop to this NOW. May oras para maging assholes now is not that time. Please,” the former It’s Showtime host wrote under a photo of Padilla mourning the passing of his brother, Royette Padilla, earlier this month.
The rumor erupted after entertainment news site PEP.ph posted a blind item regarding a “controversial female personality” hasn’t been seen in months because a “famous actor,” who has ties with the woman’s higher-ups, has gotten her pregnant. From there, it didn’t take netizens long to figure out who those two figures might be.
Meanwhile, to debunk the rumors herself, Uson posted a workout video to flaunt her flat belly, and then blames Vice-President Leni Robredo’s camp for the rumors. The OVP has since shunned Uson’s charge, telling the pro-administration blogger to stop “dragging [the OVP] in her nonsense.”
