During one of Heart’s IG live videos, she expressed her excitement about their upcoming collaboration.

“I’m very excited about Brandon Boyd… And for those of you that don’t know, Brandon Boyd is the lead singer of Incubus. And he’s been following me for a few months now and I didn’t know that. Kasi, when I checked his account, he’s been following me… I don’t know what to say.”

Heart also said that she’s flattered to be chosen to be part of Brandon’s project in the US.

“He saw my art in one of my posts, and he really likes it. So, he’s including me in one of his few projects that will happen in the States, featuring my paintings. I’m so happy about that. I’m so flattered. He’s a rock star. So for a rock star to like my paintings, I’m very, very happy and thrilled about that,” she added.

Both Heart and Brandon are both performers whose talents in visual art are not unknown. Heart is famous for hand-painting luxury handbags, and she’s already had solo exhibitions in galleries featuring her paintings. Meanwhile, Brandon has published art books, and also had his work exhibited at different galleries.

In an interview with Visi, Brandon shared that he has been drawing and painting his whole life. “I’ve been doing it since as far back as I can remember. Expressing myself through visual, non-verbal mediums was always how I communicated more of the complex and abstract processes that were happening in my inner world,” he said.
