“I’d much rather share videos YES from my living room instead of onstage in Vegas where some people were so far gone they couldn’t even shake my hand,” the pop star wrote.

And so the saga of Britney Spears‘s struggles amid her conservatorship continues.

In the past few weeks, the “Stronger” superstar has been posting a string of videos on social media that show her dancing from the comforts of her living room. As more and more of these freestyle dance videos make it to Spears’ feed, she explained through a lengthy post over the weekend that these are her way of performing without having to go on stage.

“For those of you who choose to criticize my dancing videos … look I’m not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think. I’ve done that for the past 13 years,” Spears wrote as part of her lengthy post on Sunday.

“I’d much rather share videos YES from my living room instead of onstage in Vegas where some people were so far gone they couldn’t even shake my hand and I ended up getting a contact high from weed all the time … which I didn’t mind but it would have been nice to be able to go to the mother****ing spa!!!!”

“And no I’m not gonna put on heavy makeup and try try try on stage again and not be able to do the real deal with remixes of my songs for years and begging to put my new music in my show for MY fans … so I quit!!!!”

Her post’s sentiment echoes a similar one she shared back in June when she admitted during an Instagram Q&A that she has “no idea” when she’d take to the stage again.

Expounding on her reasons to refrain from public performances, Britney also said in her post that she “doesn’t like” that her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, performed a set lined up with Britney Spears songs on her behalf during the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards. She went on to say that her “so-called support system hurt me deeply” and that “this conservatorship killed my dreams.”

“So all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill… yet people still try !!!! I didn’t like the way the documentaries bring up humiliating moments from the past… I’m way past all that and have been for a long time!!!!” Britney wrote.

“People try to kill hope because hope is one of the most vulnerable and fragile things there is!!!! I’m gonna go read a mother****ing fairy tale now!!!! If you don’t want to see my precious ass dancing in my living room or it’s not up to your standards … go read a ****ing book!!!!!”

Last month, Britney broke her decade-old silence by addressing the issues of her conservatorship for the first time in years. During a hearing in Los Angeles, USA, Britney told the court that “I’m traumatized,” “I’m not happy,” and that “I can’t sleep.” She has also expressed her desire to sue her family, saying that she “just wants her life back” and that “they should be in jail.”

Britney has been under a conservatorship that’s been controlled by her father, Jamie Spears, since 2008. Put in place as a measure to safeguard the assets of a person deemed mentally unfit to look over them, the conservatorship and all its restraints took a toll on Britney, thus spurring the #FreeBritney movement.

In what is considered a major step towards emancipating Britney from her conservatorship, she was finally granted the right to appoint her own lawyer after her court-appointed attorney, Samuel Ingham III, who has handled her case since 2008, stepped down.
