Alex Gonzaga also reigned as the year’s top trending video with her “Four Sisters and a Wedding” parody.
The views are in, and the verdict is out: Google Philippines has just finished crunching the numbers made by YouTube in the Philippines, and Ivana Alawi came out as the video-sharing platform’s top content creator for 2021.
Since creating her account in June 2018, Ivana has amassed more than 14.4 million subscribers. She’s also accumulated more than 936 million combined views across her 122 videos, which are a variety of light vlogs that give a glimpse into the Filipino-Moroccan actress and model.
This is the second time that Ivana has topped YouTube’s year-end list of content creators.
As of writing, Ivana’s most-viewed content is her “A Day in My Life” vlog posted over two years ago. Garnering an impressive 29 million views, the nearly 15-minute video sees the model go about her daily routine, including tidying up her bedroom, doing her laundry by hand, and cooking adobo for her younger sister, Mona.
Over the years, Ivana has also involved herself in several selfless initiatives where she either gives away financial assistance or relief packs to the less fortunate or reward her family members with the fruits of her labor.
Speaking of Alawi’s family, her brother, Hash Alawi, also made it into the list at the ninth spot. With 1.83 million subscribers, Hash actually started his channel way ahead of Ivana last October 2014.
Hash also made it to Google Philippines’ Top 10 Breakout Creators, leading the pack at #1.
Other top YouTube content creators this year include Zeinab Harake, celebrity sisters Alex and Toni Gonzaga, Donnalyn Bartolome, Vice Ganda, Skusta Clee, Mika Salamanca, and Cong TV.
In another year-end list released by Google Philippines, Alex Gonzaga’s “Four Sisters and a Wedding” parody led the list of top-trending YouTube videos of the year in the Philippines.
Tweaking the title to “Four Sisters and a Welding,” Alex poked fun at the blockbuster film which starred her sister, Toni. She posted the video last July to mark her fourth year as a vlogger and has since amassed more than 10 million views.
