Jesse McCartney and Katie Peterson have finally tied the knot!

The longtime couple had an outdoor wedding at the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California on October 23, 2021, two years after their engagement in September 2019. According to PEOPLE, Jesse and Katie wrote their own vows and were married by the bride’s uncle “in a romantic, rustic-chic ceremony.”
“I think that moment of settling in at the altar and just watching her come down is going to be pretty special and having our families there and witnessing all of it… It’s hard not to be romantic about that portion of the night,” Jesse said before his wedding day.
In attendance were 147 guests, including singer Hunter Hayes, actors Jonathan Sadowski, Paul James, and Jacob Zachar, Jesse’s brother who stood as his best man, and their dog Bailey who was a flower girl. Jesse also put together his own 15-piece wedding band, which joined him as he performed a song dedicated to his wife called “Party of Two.”
The newlyweds announced their engagement in September 2019, seven years after they started dating in 2012. Jesse asked Katie to marry him while celebrating their seventh anniversary at the Cut steakhouse in Beverly Hills, a place that holds great significance to them–it was also the same place where they had their “first proper date!”
“I knew that we just had this effortless way about each other and everything that we did just seemed like it was so easy… We just have a good flow. She knows when to push, she knows when to pull, and vice-versa,” Jesse said.
“I think going through life knowing that you have a partner that is excited about the same things as you is, overall, a really rewarding experience and I can’t imagine wanting to live your life any other way.”
