JoJo had an “epic” 31st birthday celebration–aside from getting a surprise party, she also got engaged to “Saved by the Bell” star Dexter Darden!
The “Too Little Too Late” singer announced her engagement to Dexter by sharing adorable snaps on Christmas day. “Forever with you? Sign me up. Celebrating Christmas a whole fiancé,” she posted on Instagram.
The bride-to-be, who celebrated her birthday on December 20, gave the sweetest shoutout to her fiancé who went all out to make her happy on her special day.
“The most thoughtful, creative, positive, handsome, strong, loving, uplifting human being asked me to marry him,” she said. “So obviously I said yes!”
Dexter also made sure that their favorite people were present during JoJo’s birthday-slash-engagement party.
“Thank you for the most epic birthday surprise ever. And for flying out my mom, your mom, and both of our best friends to share in that incredible moment with us. You are one of one,” she added.
JoJo, known for her songs “Leave (Get Out),” “Baby It’s You,” and “Not That Kinda Girl” from her eponymous debut album released in 2004, released a new album entitled “Trying Not to Think About It” in October 2021.
She is also set to headline another tour next year with stops at 45 different locations across North America and Europe from February to May 2022.
