As Lazada marks its 9th birthday sale in just a few days, the e-commerce brand gears up for a total shoppertainment experience, with deals up to 90% off as well as a virtual concert featuring some of the biggest acts on both the global and local stage.
To kick off the festivities, Lazada is bringing together pop icon Katy Perry and K-Pop boyband NCT Dream to headline the virtual event with a theme called “Everyday Heroes.”
Katy Perry is known for her chart-topping hits “Dark Horse,” “Roar,” and “Firework.” Meanwhile, NCT Dream – a sub-unit of SM Entertainment’s South Korean boy group NCT – is one of the most sought-after K-Pop groups whose hits include “BOOM,” “Ridin’,” and “Chewing Gum.”
According to Lazada, the event will not only “pay tribute to frontline essential workers that have been working tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, but also shines the spotlight on individuals in our community who have in their own ways touched the lives of people around them.”
But that’s not just what awaits Lazada’s beloved customers as some of the biggest celebrities in Southeast Asia are also joining the event leading to the highly-anticipated March 27 event where they can score deals up to 90% off which starts at midnight.
Among the celebrities from the Philippines who are taking part in the highly-anticpated event are vlogger Mimiyuuuh and Kapuso stars Alden Richards and Lovi Poe, Barbie Forteza, Christian Bautista, Valeen Montenegro, Mark Bautista, and DJ Loonyo.
Meanwhile, Katy Perry – through a video where she answered questions from Lazada – expressed her excitement to return to Southeast Asia.
She said: “Thank you so much for supporting me and loving me all of this time. I am excited to come back and see you and hug you and sing for you and just hopefully spread a little bit of light and love and joy and hear you sing with me. How about that?”
