Lil Nas X recently shared details on his mysterious new boyfriend.
The rapper sat down for a cover story interview with VMAN to talk about his newfound love.
“We met around the time that I was about to do the SNL thing. But we just started dating maybe two weeks ago,” he told fellow queer musician and BROCKHAMPTON member Kevin Abstract.
“I feel like this is one of the best [relationships] yet,” the 22-year-old continued. “I’m really happy about it, and it all just feels natural. It’s effortless.”
So far, Lil Nas X has chosen to keep mum about the identity of his boyfriend.
Fans, however, couldn’t sit still and began to come up with their own theories. They speculate that Yai Ariza, a backup dancer for the country star, is the mystery man. Back in June, the two shared a shocking kiss during a BET Awards performance.
In another interview with Variety, Lil Nas X explained that he’s had his fair share of relationships over the years. “A lot of them were emotionally unavailable or had a lot of insecurity and whatnot. But I’ve found someone special now,” he said.
Though, for this budding romance, he seems to be in the right place.
“I think this is the one. I can’t explain it – it’s just a feeling.”
