As the world anticipates the second season of her hit Netflix show Emily in Paris, Lily Collins dropped a huge bomb recently: she’s now married! Collins tied the knot with her long-time beau, director Charlie McDowell, during Labor Day weekend in Dutton Hot Springs, Colorado.
The 32-year old shared that she’s never been happier. “What started as a fairytale, is now my forever reality. I’ll never be able to properly describe how otherworldly this past weekend was, but magical is a pretty good place to start…” Collins penned in a heartfelt Instagram post.
McDowell shared the same photo, calling his wife “the most generous, thoughtful, and beautiful person I’ve ever known.”
The British actress wore a long-sleeved lace gown with a hooded cape by Ralph Lauren and jewelry by Irene Neuwirth Jewelry. She shared a few photos of her in her gorgeous wedding gown alongside her new hubby.
“I’ve never wanted to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife. On September 4th, 2021 we officially became each other’s forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell,” the actress wrote on another post.
Collins announced her engagement last September 2020, with a lovely photo of a rose-cut bezel ring. “I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together…” she said in the announcement.
The star also shared that quarantine has solidified their relationship. “Everyone has very much been who they are these last few months because there aren’t any external distractions.” She added: “When you’ve seen someone at their best and at their worst and you’re still right there with them, that’s a beautiful thing.”
