It’s her year this year! Lindsay Lohan is not only making her acting comeback, but also walking down the aisle.
The 35-year-old star took to Instagram to show off the new engagement ring she received from boyfriend Bader Shammas.
“My love. My life. My family. My future #love,” she wrote under a series of photos of her and her new fiancé. Shammas, a University of South Florida alumni, is a financier and the Assistant Vice President of banking firm Credit Suisse. As per The Independent, he and Lohan have been dating for about two years, in Dubai where Lohan has been residing for the past seven years.
The Mean Girls celeb has kept the relationship largely private, notably only posting him once in February 2020. The photo, which featured the couple out on the town with rock band Bastille at a Dubai rock concert, was initially captioned: “@aliana lovely night with sister and my boyfriend bader such a magical night.” She later edited the caption and then deleted the post altogether.
Lohan has been making waves in recent news with the announcement and teaser photo for her newest project, a Christmas rom-com with Chord Overstreet. She will play “a newly engaged hotel heiress” who gets into an accident and suffers from amnesia. From there, she’ll be taken care of by a “handsome lodge owner” and his “precocious daughter” in the days leading up to Christmas.
The Netflix production will be Lohan’s first full-length acting gig since 2013, when she starred in the thriller-drama film The Canyons.
