Liza Soberano Hires New Management In Bid For Hollywood Stardom

She’s hoping Careless Management can get her where she wants to go.

Ogie Diaz and Liza Soberano are over. At the end of this month, Diaz will no longer oversee Soberano’s career.

In a YouTube video, Diaz gave a few details about what happened. He said that he asked Soberano about renewing her contract. The actress said that she would have to think about it. She later texted Diaz a long message, in which she informed him of her decision. She also expressed her thanks to Diaz for guiding her.

The manager said Soberano didn’t renew her contract with him because she had other plans. Her next goal is to try her luck in Hollywood. Ogie accepted her decision because he knew he wouldn’t be able to get her projects abroad. But he said they remain very close.

“Magalang naman ‘yung bata. Saka kilala mo naman ako. Kapag happiness na ng tao ang concern, ibinibigay ko ‘yan,” he said. “In fairness sa bata, very grateful din siya. Very thankful siya dahil kumbaga magkatuwang naming binuo ang kanyang pangalan.”

Diaz is still Soberano’s manager until the 31st of May this year. After that, she’ll move to James Reid’s Careless management. It was also revealed that Soberano is no longer an ABS-CBN, Star Cinema, and Star Magic artist.

Liza Soberano and her relationship with Ogie Diaz

“Yes, as a manager si James Reid. Kaya pansinin mo magkasama sila sa gala. Hindi lang siya ang kasama ni Liza. Pati ‘yung partners nila, kasi may business group sila. Kasama roon si Liza,” Diaz explained. He was, of course, referring to the recent Gold Gala that the pair attended in Los Angeles.

Diaz and Soberano have a great relationship. They still do. The talent manager mentioned that Liza came into his life when he most needed it.

Diaz maintains that he is happy for Liza. He promises to support her no matter where she wants to go.
