At the Misis Piggy mediacon, a reporter asked Ria Atayde a question that made her emotional. Ria teared up as she talked about playing the daughter of Sylvia Sanchez’s character. For those who don’t know, Ria is the real-life daughter of the award-winning actress.
Sylvia is a generous person by nature. For instance, she recently treated her publicist Chuck Gomez to a shopping spree. When it comes to acting, she’s every bit as generous.
When Sylvia’s doing a scene with another actor, she listens to them.

She does her best to make them look good. As a result, she’s able to develop a real connection with them. That allows both of them to let the scene unfold in a natural way.
Sylvia Sanchez says developing that connection with Ria was easier. Their mother-daughter bond helped a lot. Their scenes together are electric and something viewers should look forward to.
Sylvia says her daughter exceeded her expectations, which made Ria even more emotional. “As a kid, you want to make your parents proud. I’m grateful and it’s nice to hear that she’s proud of me and my acting,” says Ria.
Sylvia says she’s and her character Marivic are very similar. Both are hard workers and motivated to do everything for their children. Being no stranger to her mother’s work ethic, Ria agreed.
