In a vlog posted on their YouTube channel, Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica shared to the world the birth of their first child, Avianna Celeste.
The touching vlog recounts the celebrity couple’s life in the two weeks following the birth of their daughter. Albert shared that she underwent a Caesarean delivery last March 15 as it was “much safer” since Avianna was a big baby.
“Doc said it was the biggest baby na pinanganak niya in 30 years,” Abrenica said.
The first-time parents also revealed that baby Avianna had to be taken to the hospital’s newborn intensive care unit or NICU after birth due to her low oxygen levels.
“Avianna has to be in the NICU because they have to observe her, kasi her oxygen levels go down. And then when they did an X-ray on her lungs, parang there’s still water, which they say is normal when you’re Caesarean kasi hindi masyadong nai-squeeze ‘yung baby. Plus it’s also normal for a giant baby,” Albert shared.
Despite initial challenges, the couple stays happy and grateful for the gift of their first child.
“We were lucky that despite all the challenges and scares we went through, we were able to experience Baby A’s birth together and she is finally here with us, safe and healthy,” the couple shared.
Albert and Abrenica have been together for eight years before getting engaged last December 2020. It was back in February when the couple announced that they were pregnant and that they were moving in together.
