Gotta love Eddie!
There’s no doubt that the fourth season of Stranger Things was a massive success. The show introduced new characters that added substance to the series. One such character is Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn.
Eddie is the leader of the infamous Hellfire Club. Residents of Hawkins targeted him for allegedly murdering someone. Although he was innocent til the end, he sacrificed himself to help Eleven and the others succeed.
The actor won the hearts of fans worldwide with his role. But Joseph shared this particular moment with Jimmy Fallon that felt so wholesome!
The ‘Stranger Things’ star was set free by a fan
On The Tonight Show,’ Quinn talked about his little problem with US immigration at the airport. He was on the way to Fallon’s show but officers stopped him for questioning. “I very nearly didn’t make it,” Quinn said.
“They took me into what seemed like a dungeon. I waited there for about 20 minutes. Then I was summoned to this desk where someone asked me, ‘What are you doing in the United States, sir?’ I said, ‘I’m actually here to meet Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. And he didn’t believe me.”
Everything seemed hopeless till another officer came in and recognized Joseph. It turns out he happened to be a fan of the Netflix series. After reading the room, the officer told the interrogator to “Leave Eddie alone!” He said, “It’s Eddie from Stranger Things.”
The interrogator knew who he was and asked him about his character’s fate.
“Do you come back next season?” The man asked.
“I don’t know,” Eddie replied.
The interrogator answered, “You better,” and handed back Quinn’s passport.
Joseph’s story is proof of his sudden rise to popularity due to his big break from playing a hard rocker. Although we may never see him in the show again, he’ll most likely have other acting projects soon.
