The discourse among celebrities regarding their shower routine continues, and we’re here to keep you updated.
Just a recap, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Jake Gyllenhaal are some of the personalities who confessed they don’t take frequent showers. Judgments and personal preferences aside, it’s still shocking they’d disclose information like this, especially during a pandemic.
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis
A large part of the internet was appalled by the fact that Ashton and Mila revealed that they don’t wash their kids or themselves with soap every day. They responded to the backlash they received by sharing a bath time video with their kids on Instagram. The couple humored viewers as they said things like, “You’re putting water on the children?” and “Their body oils are gonna be destroyed!”
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
The Rock had to clarify that he’s not part of the “not washing themselves” club. In fact, he takes showers thrice a day — all of which entails washing his face, his body, exfoliating, and singing off-key. As soon as he wakes up, he takes a cold shower. Then, a warm one after he works out. The third and last is a hot shower after he gets home from work.
Australian musician Troye Sivan also wanted to let the world know that he bathes every day and washes his hair twice a week. “I wear antiperspirant deodorant with a milk scent and then spray 2-3 pumps of cologne on top of my clothes in the morning,” he tweeted. To be more specific, he also mentions wearing clean socks and underwear and uses a loofah.
Everyone’s personal hygiene routine is varied as we all have different lifestyles, health concerns and use select products. Factors like these influence how often you need to bathe, but the general census — at least among Filipinos — is that showering at least once a day is necessary.
