Tom Parker Shares Health Update: ‘We’ve Got My Brain Tumor Under Control’

The Wanted” member Tom Parker, who’s been diagnosed with stage four glioblastoma last year, shared that he recently received some good news about his health.

“I’m sat here with tears in my eyes as I tell you. We’ve got my brain tumor under control. We had the results from my latest scan… and I’m delighted to say it is stable,” he posted on Instagram.

“Such a mix of emotions. We couldn’t ask for any more really at this point; a year or so into this journey. Honestly over the moon. We can sleep a little easier tonight. Thank you for all your love and support over the last 12+ months. Love from Me, Kelsey, Aurelia & Bo.”

Tom opened up about being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in October 2020, the same month he and his wife Kelsey welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Bodhi Thomas. The couple got married in 2018 and welcomed their first child, Aurelia Rose, in 2019.

“I am going to fight this. We are already exploring alternative treatments and looking at clinical trials both here and abroad, and our friends have been doing research. There are so many stories of people who were given a bad prognosis and are still here five, 10, even 15 years later. We’re going to fight this all the way,” he told OK! Magazine.

The 33-year-old singer also recently got back together with his fellow “The Wanted” members, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, and Nathan Sykes.

The British-Irish boy band performed for the first time since 2014 at Tom’s “Stand Up To Cancer” charity concert in September 2021. They released a new single, “Rule the World,” last month, while an album with their greatest hits will be released on Friday. The group is also gearing up for their UK Tour happening in March 2022.
