The band Munimuni has taken a hiatus

Local indie-folk band Munimuni announced on social media that they are taking a break from the music scene.

Band members AJ Jiao, TJ de Ocampo, John Owen Castro, Jolo Ferrer, and Josh Tumaliuan released a letter on their official Facebook page yesterday, September 30 and shared that they have decided to take a hiatus.

Maraming problema, maraming nakakalungkot, at the same time, maraming pangangailangan,” they wrote.

Hiatus, ika nga nila,” they added.

Munimuni then thanked their avid fans for supporting them through the years.

Mamimiss namin kayo.”

Since the pandemic, public events and gigs were put to a halt to avoid the spread of the coronavirus and this also affected several artists whose livelihoods are based on performing in public.

Minimuni is known for their songs “Sa’yo,” “Sa Hindi Pag-alala,” and “Marilag” to name a few.
