Here’s a recap before the premiere of The Mandalorian Season 3
Prepare for another epic season of cosmic adventures from Din Djarin and Grogu in “The Mandalorian” season 3. The show’s upcoming season will premiere on Disney+ on March 1, 2023.
The first two seasons were received well and have been popular among new and long-time “Star Wars” fans. As the New Republic fights to protect the peace, The Mandalorian must connect with old allies and face new adversaries while exploring the galaxy with Grogu.
Before the new season begins, here are several things you need to know to catch up on the upcoming season.
Here’s what went down so far in “The Mandalorian”
The Mandalorian’s first season tells the story of a space bounty hunter (Din Djarin). He tracks down The Child/Grogu, an enigmatic youngster. When The Mandalorian meets The Child, he resolves to flee and break the deal. This leads to a voyage that turns into a survival struggle as they attempt to bring down The Client. He is the individual responsible for putting up the contract.
Because of this, Moff Gideon, from a Galactic Empire that dominated the galaxy, became their enemy. The Mandalorian and the Child created a new clan as they embarked on a trip to discover the latter’s roots.
Grogu gets kidnapped by the enemy during the second season. This results in a spectacular rescue and struggle between Din Djarin and Moff Gideon, with Djarin obtaining the Darksaber and saving Grogu. Grogu expressed an interest in becoming a Jedi at the end of the second season. In an emotional departure, he bids Din Djarin goodnight.
Who is Grogu?
Grogu is one of the show’s main characters. We discovered more about his talents and origin story in the second season. Ahsoka Tano disclosed his name, as well as his history as a Jedi in training. Grogu develops his talents and abilities quickly, even assisting Din Djarin during battles. Among them are telepathy, telekinesis, healing wounds, taming creatures, and even ability masking.
While the second season revealed more about Grogu’s past, the mystery of who saved him before remains unsolved.
Who will end up wielding the Darksaber?
The wielder of this fabled sword from Din Djarin’s home planet of Mandalore can claim the right to rule the planet. Realizing the strength of this weapon, he has the option to stake his claim. But, one of his trusted allies, Bo-Katan, is Mandalore’s true heir and requires the Darksaber.
Season 3 of The Mandalorian promises new adventures for Din Djarin and Grogu. They’ll be available on Disney+ on March 1, 2023.
