Timmy Albert’s new single says “Just walk away when it’s over”
Timmy Albert has recently launched his newest effort titled “Rent Free.” The song suggests that break-ups don’t always need to have closures all the time. One of the lines, in fact, says, “Just walk away when it’s over.”
Albert let his fans listen to this new single with a launch at the revamped 12 Monkeys Music Hall & Pub on February 21, 2023.
Albert is a producer known for his blues lo-fi hit “roses & sunflowers.” He later created another rendition of the song with rising sweet star Angelina Cruz.

While writing “Rent Free,” Albert mentioned that he had a vision of transitioning into the full band set-up and playing it live on stage.
For him, 2023 means converting to a more rejuvenated sound. This is also the reason why he formed it with up-and-coming musicians such as Bob Sadural of St. Wolf, LJ Panganiban of Brisom/Meryl, and Ryan Pineda of Carousel Casualties.

For Albert, the fresh effort is a statement of being “unconfined and self-assured.” He also adds that it’s about not having co-dependence with your ex-partner.

“The feeling of being free and confident about not needing your ex at all even if he/she still talks about you,” the jazzy singer-songwriter says.
As of the moment, “Rent Free” streams on select digital streaming platforms. It is also included in Spotify’s New Music Friday Playlist listed in different countries around Asia.
Timmy Albert’s “Rent Free” is distributed under Universal Records.
