Beomgyu, Hueningkai, Soobin, Taehyun, and Yeonjun are officially million-sellers!
TOMORROW x TOGETHER (TXT) will release their fourth EP minisode 2: Thursday’s Child on April 30. According to their album distributor YG PLUS, stock pre-orders for the EP surpassed 1,447,000. This is the K-pop group’s highest number of stock pre-orders since debut. Showbiz watchers predict this number will rise in the days leading up to the album’s release. It will drop on May 9 at 6:00 PM KST (Korean Standard Time).
TXT’s The Chaos Chapter: Freeze earned 700,000 stock pre-orders before it dropped in May 2021. A repackaged edition of that album earned half a million stock pre-orders. The current numbers of their upcoming EP show that TXT’s popularity continues to grow.
Beomgyu, Hueningkai, Soobin, Taehyun, and Yeonjun unveiled the EP’s tracklisting on May 1. At exactly midnight KST, fans found out minisode 2: Thursday’s Child would have five new songs. The EP’s title track will be a Yeonjun co-write called “Good Boy Gone Bad.” The other tracks are “Lonely Boy,” “Opening Sequence,” “Thursday’s Child Has Far To Go,” and “Trust Fund Baby.”
The boys’ record label says this EP is a pit stop on the way to their next series of albums. This isn’t the first time they’ve made such a stop. Before moving on to The Chaos Chapter, they closed The Dream Chapter with minisode 1: Blue Hour in 2020. All their previous releases earned Platinum certifications in South Korea. It’s safe to say that minisode 2: Thursday’s Child will extend their winning streak.
Meanwhile, TXT also announced their 2022 TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR <ACT : LOVE SICK>. The world tour is set for July, beginning in Seoul, South Korea. It will then move on to seven cities in the United States, including Los Angeles and New York.
