Here’s what the Vikings can expect from the band’s latest effort, “Confront Thy Curse.”
Valley of Chrome finally released their new full-length album called Confront Thy Curse. It has 15 songs, which the band wrote and recorded over the last couple of years. Yes, they spent the pandemic in creative mode.
According to frontman Rogel Africa, this is Valley of Chrome’s heaviest album ever. He adds that they might never have an effort as heavy as this in the future. It took them two years to finish the album due to lockdowns and other restrictions.
All the songs on the album have English and Filipino versions. They also included remastered versions of Valley of Chrome classics. This includes staples like “Forever Young,” “Dasal (Sa Gitna ng Panganib),” and of course, “Art of Letting Go.”
Apart from the album, they have dropped lyric video visualizers produced by Tower of Doom. Check out “Kalaban” below.
About Valley of Chrome
Valley of Chrome is a heavy metal act from Los Banos, Laguna. The Vikings are Jordan Constantino (bass), Kaloi Cambaliza (guitars), Paul Eusebio (drums), Rogel Africa (vocals), and Tatel Marcelino (guitars).
This metal band fuses heavy metal, hardcore, and punk elements with pop and rock. This is evident in their wide melodic leads and vocal lines.
They have toured around the world. They’ve even played Wacken Open Air in 2019, as the first Filipino metal band to play the said event.
Their new album just dropped, but they’re already hard at work on a follow-up (and then some). Africa confirms that they are writing new riffs and melodies for future releases.
