The “It’s Showtime” host asks bashers: “May masama ba?”
Vice Ganda was criticized online for buying a Pomeranian puppy worth PHP380,000. In return, Vice Ganda took his sentiments to “It’s Showtime” on Thursday, March 16.
Vice’s banter with co-hosts, Vhong Navarro and Kim Chiu, in the “Isip Bata” segment was replaced by serious exchanges about her expensive pet purchase.
The comedian segues the conversation to the amount of criticisms he has been getting from this. Vice asks, “Alam mo, nababasa ko yung mga comments. Bakit kayo nagdedesisyon sa buhay ng iba?
With online critics’ outward tirade about Vice’s option of buying instead of adopting, he asks, “Hindi lang ba pwedeng hayaan niyo kaming maging masaya? Hindi pwedeng choice namin? Di ba?”
Vice clarifies her full support to anyone who prefers adoption. However, he also hopes that he would be supported as well for his decision to purchase a puppy.
“Alam ko, may mga dahilan kayo, pero may kanya-kanya naman tayong [desisyon]. Hindi pwedeng kami ang mag-decide? Di ba?” Vice Ganda responds.

Vice Ganda criticized for the newest member of the fam?
This issue came after Vice Ganda and boyfriend Ion Perez uploaded a Youtube vlog on Wednesday, March 15, as a way of announcing the 380,000 Php-worth Pomeranian puppy as their own baby.
Even Vice himself could not believe that it’s actually worth that much, further humoring that it will take him nights of self-exploitation to earn such an amount.
The couple reveals through the vlog that this was already planned for quite a long time now. With that, the two deemed that a baby would be necessary in making their home a happier place.
“Dadagdagan namin ng member ang family namin para lumaki-laki naman ang pamilya namin kasi dalawa lang kami,” Vice Ganda adds.
As for Perez, he personally wanted a baby more especially in moments when he will not be around to accompany his life partner.
The couple handpicked the puppy from a pet shop in Taguig, taking their interest after a seemingly elated gesture that it did upon seeing Vice Ganda and Perez.
