“Panahon lang ang kalaban ko,” says Vice
“It’s Showtime” host Vice Ganda continues to set sight on having a child with husband Ion Perez.
“Gusto ko na talaga, ‘yung panahon lang ang kalaban ko. Nahihirapan ako maghanap ng panahon. Mahabang proseso kasi siya. Kailangan ko talagang maglaan ng panahon,” says Vice during his “Magandang Buhay” appearance on May 30, 2023.
Vice appeared on the show together with his mother Rosario, sister Marivic, and niece Camille.
“Excited na hindi excited kasi ang tanda na niya, e. Matanda na ‘yung anak ko,” says Vice’s Nanay Rosario.
The phenomenal star affirms what her mother said, “Sinasabi niya palagi yon. Actually hindi lang siya. Marami akong kakilala. ‘Ngayon pa ba, ang tanda mo na?’”
Without mincing his words, Vice admits that such comments have somehow affected his decision to become a parent.
“Actually, kaya ako tumagal nang tumagal dahil sa ganyang komento,” he emphasizes.
However, Nanay Rosario is quick to add that she only worries that she might not have the chance to take care of Vice’s kids.
“Kasi baka hindi ko na maalagaan, anak. Tulad ng mga apo ko na noong bumalik ako, e, hindi ko na naranasan magpalit ng diaper, hindi ko naranasan na magpaligo, which I regret talaga.
“Pero I have to choose kung ano ang dapat kong unahin. E, ngayon, baka hindi ko na kaya mag-alaga.”
Despite her mom’s explanation, Vice reiterates, “Unang-una, hindi naman ako mag-aanak para may alagaan ka, Mother.”
Vice sponsors niece’s ‘unforgettable present’
Known for his generosity to his friends and family, it was revealed during the same episode that Vice treated his niece Camille to a nose job.
“Hindi ko po siya hiniling. Si Tito Vice po ‘yung nagkusa tapos sa buong procedure, nagwe-wait si Tito Vice ng update. And, sinamahan niyo po ako roon step-by-step sa consultation, sa pagpasok ng OR,” she explained adding that Vice did it to help make her feel good about herself.
Camille’s mother Marivic, who is the sister of Vice, for her part, is also happy for her daughter.
However, Vice revealed that she overheard her sister seemingly telling off her niece about the procedure.
Vice shared, “Naririnig ko. Sabi niya, ‘Talagang hindi ka man lang nagpaalam sa akin, nanay mo ako.’ Tapos ako nag-explain, ‘Ano ka ba, matanda na ‘yung anak mo, nasa tamang edad na. Her body, her rules.’
Sabi ko sa kanya, we can only guide her pero hindi natin pwedeng i-impose sa kanya kung ano ang dapat at hindi dapat.”
