Woah! Ne-Yo wants to collaborate with this Filipino artist

What would you do if THE Ne-Yo (aka the Grammy-winning artist behind RnB hits “Because of You” and “Miss Independent”) suddenly sends you a DM and say he wants to collaborate with you on a track? You would totally freak out, right?

Well, that’s what a Filipino artist felt (at least based on what he tweeted) after Ne-Yo expressed his interest in his music and said he wanted to collaborate with him.

On Twitter, Dane Hipolito (who now goes by the name Jarlo Base), shared a screenshot of his Instagram conversation with Ne-Yo – and honestly, we could not be any happier for him.

“Ok, let’s get it. Got a few dope things we can do. Talk to me,” Ne-Yo wrote. He added: “I can put something together that makes sense for you.”

In another message, the American singer-songwriter told Jarlo: “I’ll work with you. Let me know.”

Seemingly speechless over the exchange between him and Ne-Yo, Jarlo simply tweeted: “Hmmm, what do I say?”

If we were in his position, we would definitely be at a loss for words, too. But right now, we are just hoping for the best!

WHO IS JARLO BASE?

Before using Jarlo Base as his screen name, Dane Hipolito used his real name each time he releases tracks for his audience.

Under his real name, Jarlo released indie tracks such “Krayola,” and “Hiwaga” as well as a collaboration with contemporary Keiko Necesario.

In 2020, Dane experimented on various genres and released songs like “Sisa,” “Humpay,” and “Korona.”

Meanwhile, Jarlo Base released a sultry track called “Honey Mae” for his opening salvo this 2021.
