KathNiel fans, you have something to look forward to this February!
“The House Arrest of Us,” starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, will soon be available for streaming on Netflix. Mark your calendars for Monday, February 1, 2021!
First release
The 13-episode rom-com series premiered on October 24, 2020, and was available on both KTX.ph and iWantTFC. Aside from KathNiel, other celebrities such as Herbert Bautista, Ruffa Gutierrez, Gardo Versoza, Arlene Muhlach, Dennis Padilla, Anthony Jennings, Riva Quenery, Alora Sasam, and Hyubs Azarcon appear in the series.
The story revolves around Korics (played by Daniel Padilla) and Q (played by Kathryn Bernardo), who are already planning to get married. However, the lockdown started during their families’ “pamamanhikan,” forcing all of them to live in one place.

Despite the similar-sounding title with the 2018 KathNiel film “The Hows of Us,” the two are not connected. In an ABS-CBN interview, they said, “It’s not a sequel. Basically hindi siya connected sa ‘Hows of Us.’ It’s a family series, nandun din ‘yung romance. Halo-halo siya pero it’s not related kay George at kay Primo (their characters from ‘The Hows of Us’.)”
The digital movie series may have already concluded last January 16, but you’ll soon be able to re-watch it (again and again)!
