As the old saying goes, health is wealth. Now more than ever, the importance of having a formidable immune system cannot be highlighted enough. That’s why people are encouraged to exercise regularly, get much-needed rest, and eat a well-balanced diet.

According to Byrdie.com, it’s important that your body gets some vitamin C as it helps boosts one’s immunity as well as helps the body absorb other nutrients. To add to this, it even fights signs of aging. What a win, right? You can get a dose of vitamin C by adding these fruits to your pantry:

  1. Bell peppers. One red bell pepper is packed with 150 mg of vitamin C, but you don’t have to stick with just red though. Yellow, orange, and even green bell peppers contain vitamin C as well.

  1. Oranges. Well, nothing quite beats the OG. Oranges are the most popular source of vitamin C. One medium orange contains about 70 mg of vitamin C. You can eat it raw, squeeze it into a juice or even add them to your smoothie.

A perk of living in the Philippines is that not only are these fruits easily accessible, they don’t necessarily break the bank as well (except when they’re not in season, that is). Thus, eating fruits with vitamin C is a delicious way of self-care. Doesn’t that make you want to eat more?
