Burger King’s plant-based burger arrives in the PH

A year after introducing their plant-based whopper in the US, Burger King has now made it available to the Philippines too!

The plant-based whopper is said to be ‘made from plants, tastes like beef’ and the price starts at P89. The patty, which is made with soy proteins, is still grilled to perfection just like the regular whopper burgers.

According to Burger King Philippines, it only packs 286 calories per serving and has 19.9 grams of protein. However, in a report by BBC, the soy-based burger is not suitable for vegans because the patty “is cooked on the same grill as meat burgers.”

The burger is now available in Metro Manila via delivery, take out, dine in and will soon be available nationwide this November 26.
