Burger King’s Plant-Based X-tra Long Chicken Is Now In The PH

There are now more options for those who prefer plant-based meals.

Burger King is expanding their plant-based options in the Philippines! This comes after they introduced the Plant-Based Whopper in 2020 and has received a warm welcome from their Filipino customers.

The new Plant-Based X-tra Long Chicken has the same mouthwatering taste as the best-selling original X-tra Long Chicken — just guilt-free.

The plant-based X-tra Long Chicken has a crispy 6-inch plant-based patty developed by The Vegetarian Butcher, topped with fresh lettuce, and a creamy plant-based mayonnaise on soft sesame seed buns. You won’t even feel the difference because they ensured that the faux chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

This is part of Burger King Philippines’ plan to make their meals more inclusive. With their partnership with The Vegetarian Butcher, they aim to bring the plant-based chicken closer to meat lovers, flexitarians, and anyone who loves delicious burgers.

Joey Dominguez, General Manager of Burger King® Philippines, shares that the demand for plant-based options is increasing.

“The introduction of the Plant-Based X-tra Long Chicken in the Philippines responds to the demand from guests who are asking for a variety of plant-based options without compromising on taste. We are confident that Filipinos will love our follow-up to the Plant-Based Whopper,” he says.

Burger King’s X-tra Long Chicken is now available in all of its stores nationwide. You can also order online by calling #2-22-22 or downloading the BK App, or through their delivery website. Burger King is also available on Grab and Foodpanda.
