Easy Cocktails You Can Make at Home

Tired of hard beers and cheap liquor? Why don’t you try making a cocktail at home?

Cocktails and mixed drinks are actually very easy to make in the kitchen. With just a couple fruits and special liquors, you can get the whole family buzzing!

Here’s our take on easy homemade cocktails:

Sex on the Beach

A sweet drink with a kick, sex on the beach is as interesting as its name. Add vodka, peach schnapps, crème de cassis, orange juice, and cranberry juice into a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain the drink into a tall glass and garnish with an orange slice or cherries to complete the warm, sunset-esque look.

Feel the island breeze with this refreshing cocktail. Grab some light rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, lime juice, and ice and shake it all up in a cocktail shaker for about 30 seconds. Pour the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice and slip a slice of frozen pineapple on the rim for the ultimate tropical experience.

Daiquiri

If you haven’t already tried to make a daiquiri at home, you should try now! Combine white rum, freshly squeezed lime juice, and simple syrup in a shaker and shake well until well-chilled. Strain the liquid and garnish with a lime twist for a sweet and sour drink.

Margarita

Who doesn’t love a good margarita? Enjoy your night in with tequila (silver or reposado should be your go-to), freshly squeezed lime juice, and orange liqueur. Top off the drink with a lime wedge and a handful of kosher salt to rim the glass.

Go French with this boozy classic! Grab a cognac or brandy, orange liqueur, and lemon juice and mix the ingredients together. For a fancy garnish, you can opt to line the rim of your glass with sugar and a cute orange twist.

Cuba Libre

Get ready for a lively night with a Cuba libre! Squeeze some lime juice into a tall glass and drop a couple slices of lime right after. Fill the glass up with ice and white rum (like Bacardi) and you’ve got yourself a fun time.

We’ve gotta thank The Big Lebowski for bringing back this popular, coffee-filled treat. Mix together some vodka, coffee liqueur (Kahlúa works great!), and cream and pour it over a small glass with ice for the perfect adult pick-me-up.
