Elevate your frappe fix with Starbucks' new Choux Cream Frappuccinos

For the same reason that we bite into a delectable dessert at the end of a meal, making it halfway through the year kind of calls for something sweet to indulge ourselves with too. Luckily, Starbucks is always happy to oblige. 

Now, vanilla-flavored drinks have always been a crowd favorite for the famous coffee chain, but we can always trust Starbucks to always take it up a notch. Enter their new Choux Cream Frappuccinos, which are guaranteed first picks once they go on sale on June 8.

But first, what’s choux?

Literally translating to “cabbage” because of how it looks, choux pastry is a light and delicate French dough that’s often transformed into other sweet desserts such as éclairs, cream puffs, and profiteroles. Mixed with vanilla bean custard-flavored whip cream, and you get the creamiest dessert drink you could ever think of.

For Starbucks, it’s just a matter of preference. Like it frothy and fruity? The Strawberry Choux Cream Frappuccino is for you. It has fresh strawberry chunks resting below a mix of ice, milk, and vanilla-bean custard paste. It’s topped with a rich froth of vanilla-bean custard-flavored whipped cream and drizzled with graham cracker crumbs.

Or, if you’re leaning more into the rich and robust cacao flavor, then try the Chocolate Choux Cream Frappuccino Blended Beverage. In place of fresh strawberries, this drink is flavored with deep, dark chocolate with just the right touch of mocha syrup.

Both drinks go for P165 for the Tall size, P180 for Grande, and P195 for Venti. The new drinks go on sale starting Tuesday, July 8, in all Starbucks stores nationwide. You can also have your frappe fix delivered as well via GrabFood.
