The great thing about ice cream is its sheer versatility and openness to experimentation. We’ve heard of ice cream made with siling labuyo, seaweed, and even ketchup. We’ve also read about Kurimu’s soy sauce ice cream, McDonald’s China’s chili oil ice cream, Sebastian’s “Closure” ampalaya ice cream.
Just when we think we couldn’t handle any more crazy concoctions from ice cream artisans, Frankie’s New York Buffalo Wings comes out with another funky flavor: the Buffalo Wings Ice Cream.
Made in collaboration with popular confectionery store and actual ice cream makers, The Lost Bread, the wings-flavored ice cream is made with Frankie’s signature buffalo sauce for a hint of tang and spice and blended with sweet fried sugar crisps.
The flavor comes in a pint-sized container for P349 and is available for dine-in and take-out in all branches of Frankie’s, and via delivery through The Lost Bread’s webstore. They’re also working on solo servings, which will go for P129 once it’s made available.
As we always say to the most ridiculous food items: don’t knock it ‘til you try it. So you better rush to the nearest Frankie’s as this wacky flavor is only offered for a limited time!
