Go Gaga Over These Pink Oreos

It’s not new for Oreo to release limited-edition flavors or collaborate with other brands. Last year they did one with luxury streetwear brand, Supreme, and this time around they’re shooting for the stars and teaming up with Pop Icon, Lady Gaga.

Chromatica-themed Cookies

The announcement was made back in the December of 2020 where they said they would be releasing Chromatica-themed cookies inspired by Lady Gaga’s latest album. It features three different designs embossed on the cookie and is the Golden Oreo variant that’s pink-colored with green cream filling instead of the classic chocolate biscuit. Gaga says she hopes these treats brighten anyone’s day as much as they do hers.

Lady Gaga x Oreo

Oreo initially released the Lady Gaga edition in six-cookie packs to select convenience stores at the beginning of the year. Fans who wanted early access to the pull packs had to sign up for the Lady Gaga x Oreo Stan Club to get notified when it officially drops and get a chance to receive the themed cookies for free. It’s now available at stores across the US and her Little Monsters (what her fanbase is called) were quick to get their hands on them.

To keep the ball rolling, a Twitter scavenger hunt was held where 50 lucky fans were randomly selected to win signed, limited-edition Chromatica Oreos.

In line with their collaboration, Oreo also launched “Sing It With Oreo” — a campaign promoting kindness, which is what the Chromatica world is all about. Users create Oreograms, which are musical messages that they want to send to a loved one, and get entries to win exclusive prices or score tickets to see Mother Monster herself. The contest ends on April 30 but is only open to US residents of legal age.

The singer/actress has been getting a lot of buzz lately, from singing the national anthem at the Biden-Harris inauguration, and now from this iconic collaboration.
