It’s been more than a year since we saw the ube cheese pandesal basically become food as staple as the pandesal itself, but apparently, we’re still not over our pandemic-induced invention. How do we know? Well, they’re a little late to the party, but Jollibee has finally jumped on the ube-cheese hype train and it’s bringing all of us along for one more ride around the track with their new Ube Cheese Pie!
The latest addition to the langhap-sarap menu takes everything that made the ubeÂ-cheese phenomenon great and stuffs a hearty amount of it inside their signature crispy pie crust to achieve a “sweet & cheesy goodness” that only Jollibee can do.
After playing with what sweet or savory foodstuffs they can fill their trademark pies with, Jollibee has given us another potential crowd-favorite that joins other pandemic novelties like last summer’s Ube Macapuno and Buko pies.
The new dessert pie will go on sale for a limited time only, so your sweet tooth might want to set a date soon! The new pie variant goes for PhP35 a piece and is also available in a Pies-To-Go trio for PhP100.
