Kraft is Giving Away Something Pink and Cheesy This Valentine’s

Love month is here and although we’re used to seeing all sorts of rosy-colored items during this time of the year, pink mac and cheese are not one of them. It’s also not unusual for sweet and savory items to be paired, like caramel and bacon desserts or the controversial pineapple and ham on pizzas. This Valentine’s, Kraft decided to put 2 and 2 together and came up with the candy-flavored mac and cheese.

In a press release, the company hinted at why you may not have to look any further for gifts. “No more noodling on what gift to buy. There is no better way to show your love this Valentine’s Day than saying “you’re the mac to my cheese” with Candy Kraft Mac & Cheese.”

There is no announcement the candy-flavored pasta will be reaching grocery store shelves, so the only way to get your hands on the limited-edition macaroni is to sign up for their sweepstakes and be one of the lucky 1,000 people to receive a package.

The contest, however, is only open to US residents and runs from January 27 to February 8. Winners will get their prize just in time for Valentine’s day on February 14, which is a box of their classic mac and cheese together with a packet of powder that turns the distinguished orange dish into pink.

A Twitter user asked an important question we all want answers to: “Is the cheese flavor still there, or does the sauce just taste like candy?” It seems the cheese flavor will still be evident as it’s the same mac and cheese that their patrons have come to love, except it’s elevated with a pink, sweet powder.

If you still can’t imagine what it will taste like, here’s what the brand has to say. “Imagine sweet candy meets warm, comfortable macaroni noodles… and then they fall in love.”
