Pokémon trainers, it looks like you have a new mission!
Cookie giant Oreo has released 16 new limited-edition cookie designs embossed with your favorite Pokémon characters just in time for the Japanese franchise’s 25th anniversary. But it won’t be easy to “catch” them all–some Pokémon characters will be “harder to find than others.”
Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Cyndaquil, Dratini, Grookey, Jigglypuff, Lapras, Pancham, Piplup, Rowlet, Sableye, Sandshrew, Snivy, and Squirtle will be among the characters you could find in the special Oreo packs. The Mythical Pokémon Mew will also be included, but as you would expect, it would be a rare sight.
“With a random assortment of Pokémon designs in every package, each package is a chance to find all 16, including one super rare Mythical Pokémon,” Oreo said.
The Pokémon franchise, created in 1996, is having a year-long 25th-anniversary celebration. Aside from Oreo, the company has also collaborated with Katy Perry, McDonald’s, and Levi’s, among others, to celebrate this milestone.
Other upcoming releases are the 2021 remakes of the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl games on November 19, 2021, and the Pokémon Legends: Arceus game on January 28, 2022.
