Celebrate your dad/daddy/father/pops at this yummy spot!
Did you know that celebrating Father’s Day doesn’t just have to be in June? Especially since some dads can get pretty busy, and some families might have to isolate themselves for health purposes. There’s no better way to finally celebrate the big man than with some good ribs and bbq dishes!
For “American grub” like ribs, wings, and more, my partner and I took my father to RUB Ribs & BBQ. We treated him to a late Father’s Day date. We went to the Quezon City branch after a quick Messenger exchange to confirm if they accept GCash. (They do!)
Yummy good things at RUB Ribs & BBQ
RUB prides itself on serving “ribs, wings, rings and all those yummy good things”! Since my father and I share a love for ribs and more, this place was a no-brainer. It did not disappoint; it was amazing to watch Father enjoying his food as we chatted away.
Some of the things on their menu weren’t available that day. We got the classic pork ribs, “Thunder Dan’s” chicken and their honey-fried chicken. For side dishes, we got coleslaw and macaroni salad. Out of all the dishes, the ribs were the clear favorite. Even without the sauce, they were very tasty!

Of course, despite it being well beyond June, I wanted to have a pointed symbol of why we were there. While there was no slice of cake, there was chocolate syrup. Which the kind waitstaff used to write a message on Father’s plate of ice cream and “cookie dough balls”!
If you want to treat your father or even the whole family, RUB is definitely a good choice to make.
