Sakura Hanami: Where Cherry Blossoms, Milk Tea, and All Things Pink Abound

Cherry blossom season is here! While we still can’t fly over to Japan and join the Hanami festivals, there are places you can visit around the Metro that will make you feel like you’ve stepped into a portal to the Land of the Rising Sun.

If you love flowers, milk tea, and all things pink, then you have to check out Sakura Hanami, a cherry blossom-themed restaurant and tea room.

Hanami tradition

The Instagrammable bubble tea shop’s name, Sakura Hanami, translates to “cherry blossom viewing” in Japanese. When cherry blossoms bloom during spring, people flock outside (sometimes even with their picnic baskets) to admire the beautiful flowers–this is the tradition of hanami.

Some areas in the country have sakura blooming as early as January, while some have them in May.

Lots of cherry blossom festivals are held this time of the year. So why not have your own “hanami” right here in the Philippines?

With Sakura Hanami’s kawaii pink interior, incredible selection of tea (tea with edible flowers, anyone?), and walls decked with flowers, you can make any day a cherry blossom festival.

Sakura Hanami has lots of tea options: the crowd favorite Hanami Yakult, cookie butter milk tea, and of course, traditional Cherry blossom tea!

If you want a coffee-based drink, a fruit tea, or other milk tea variants, try the tea room’s lava pearl latte, peach paradise fruit tea, or matcha creme milk tea.
